Who We Are

A Catholic boarding school for girls in the heart of Turkana.

St. Daniel Comboni Girls High School is one of the secondary schools established under the leadership of the Bishop of Lodwar and the Comboni Missionaries. We were founded as part of a broader effort to expand quality, faith-based secondary education for girls in Turkana County — a region long underserved.

Today, the school is a double-stream institution welcoming young women from Lodwar, the wider Turkana region and beyond. Together with sister institutions like Our Lady Queen of Peace Girls School and St. Augustine Boys School, we form part of the Diocese of Lodwar's commitment to lifting up the people of this land through education.

We are proudly Catholic, proudly Kenyan, and proudly Turkana — a place where the rich identity of our girls is celebrated even as they are prepared for a global future.

Our Compass

Vision, mission & values

Three statements that anchor every decision we make, every lesson we teach, and every girl we form.

I

Vision

To be a centre of excellence forming young African women into faith-filled, intellectually competent and morally upright leaders of tomorrow.

II

Mission

To provide quality, holistic, Christ-centred secondary education that nurtures girls in faith, scholarship, discipline and service — in the spirit of St. Daniel Comboni.

III

Motto

"Faith · Knowledge · Service"

The three threads we weave into every girl who calls Comboni home.

In the Words of Bishop Dominic

"One of the greatest gifts the Comboni Missionaries have given to the people of Turkana is the establishment of St. Comboni Girls High School."

— Bishop Dominic Kimengich, formerly of the Diocese of Lodwar

Our Journey
